Manager, Darby C. Bushey ARMP-CRMP
The
Risk Manager with the City of Pigeon Forge operates within the City's Human
Resource Department. This position handles the City's workers' compensation,
liability and property insurance. Tennessee Governmental Tort Liability Act -
Tennessee Code Annotated (TCA) Chapter 20.
The Risk Manager assists in analyzing the City’s insurance and other
risk exposure issues, including managing claims, workers’ compensation
benefits, and service-connected disabilities. We also provide safety and loss
prevention programs, building audits, and a vast array of safety training.
The
mission of the Office of Risk Management is to:
- Reduce the financial impact of Workers Comp claims,
lawsuits, and other exposures to the City.
- Reduce the corresponding frequency and severity of
these events through the application of professional risk management
techniques.
- Provide a safe environment for employees to work and
the public to enjoy.
- The
City of Pigeon Forge maintains auto liability insurance and general
liability coverage through Public Entity Partners, and Cincinnati Casualty
Company.

Loss Prevention aspect under risk management works closely with the Emergency
Services Departments. Risk management oversees safety and health programs that
reduce hazards to the City's workforce, as well as the citizens of Pigeon
Forge. This includes departmental operations, procedures, and facilities.
