The Tennessee Darling: Presidential Memorabilia Collection

Visitors to the library can see Presidential historical items on display in the lobby. These were given as gifts to Mrs. Mable Elizabeth “Liz” Walker Ciarrochi (Shă-rō-key) during her 21-year career as Executive Housekeeper in the White House. She requested they be donated to the library to encourage others to follow their dreams just as she had done. The Pigeon Forge Public Library is happy to share these historic treasures for free with visitors.    Click here to read more about the collection and visit the library during regular library business hours.

Thanks to a joint agreement between the Pigeon Forge Public Library and the Wear family of Pigeon Forge, select Wear family artifacts are on display in the lobby of the library. Items include photos of the Colonel Samuel Wear family home, handmade bricks from the foundations of the house and metal items forged at The Old Mill in Pigeon Forge. All are of historical value and personal significance to the Wear family. Display is free and open to the public during library business hours.
